If you are like me, you have a lot going on.

There are zillions of coaches and advice out there on ” time management”.

I have to admit, I am a little bit of a scatter brain and it has worked well for me. You see…I am not a ” list maker” or someone who organizes every block of my time.

I believe there are TWO kinds of people. 1.) Project people and 2,) People people. While project people often need to work on their people skills, people people often have to work on their project skills. I am the latter. I LOVE PEOPLE, and will often abandon projects for any reason.

I think in our profession, regarless of which way we lean on the scale from projects to people…we need to be in constant contact with people from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 pm!  We have the unusual challenge of trying to catch folks when they are available. I am certainly not suggessting working 12 hours a day, although I have been guilty of that too. I just love the idea of knowing that 9-9 is people time, and that during those hours I should be doing all I can to speak with, socialize this, contact, e-mail, facebook, work with, schmooze, and be in the face of people!

Create more social activites, join a gym, go to church, volunteer, have a party, make the calls, make the rounds, join a community group, host lunches, and have some quality PEOPLE time from 9-9!
