It was the first time this season the Steelers were blanked in the first half.

Anquan Boldin caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from Flacco with 1:59 left in the opening period — the lone scoring drive of the first half.

Flacco was 9 for 14, including a 61-yard pass to Boldin and a 67-yarder to Donte’ Stallworth.

Pittsburgh punter Daniel Sepulveda injured his right knee, forcing the Steelers to use placekicker Shaun Suisham as a punter on a fourth-and-10 from the Baltimore 38 late in the first half.

Flacco converted two third downs on the 10-play, 92-yard scoring drive — the 61-yard completion to Boldin on third-and-15 that moved the ball to the Steelers 36-yard line, and an 11-yarder to Ed Dickson on third-and-10 two plays before the touchdown.

Flacco was 6 for 6 for 103 yards in the drive, offsetting three Baltimore penalties in the Ravens’ second-longest drive of the season. It was the longest drive against Pittsburgh this season.

Neither team moved the ball effectively in its first two possessions, but the Ravens bloodied Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s nose when he was sacked for an 8-yard loss by Terrell Suggs and Haloti Ngata on third-and-8 at the Baltimore 44-yard line.

Roethlisberger was 9 for 19 for 92 yards in the first half.

Ravens tight end Todd Heap injured a hamstring on the opening series and was declared out for the remainder of the game.

Roethlisberger finally started moving the Pittsburgh offense in the second quarter, but on second-and-10 from the Baltimore 45, he overthrew Antonio Brown and was intercepted by Josh Wilson at the 2.
