gumbo150Okay, I’ll admit it… sometimes I’m a Facebook Creeper. This morning I was checking out the page of one of my readers and Facebook friends, Alan Endermann. Alan hails from Mandeville, a city in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain across from the city of New Orleans and its south shore suburbs.

Alan’s Facebook page is called called Real Estate Gumbo, and it is one of the most impressive real estate pages I’ve seen. I invite you to check it out and see if you don’t agree. I thought I would share a few of the reasons I believe it to be a great real estate page.

First, it has a great name. When you read or hear the name, you immediately know it is about real estate, it is probably Louisiana, like the namesake cuisine. (I also found myself getting hungry just thinking about it, but then it’s almost lunchtime here.) Seriously though, not only does it make your mouth water, but it implies that it is collection of real estate stuff, all thrown into one pot.

Besides the great name, another thing that jumped out at me. He minimized his company and put up a very friendly looking picture of himself. Why? I’m sure his company is a great brokerage, but real estate is a relational business. People want a relationship with a person, not a corporation.

He’s also very positive in his attitude about local real estate and you can readily see that by the various status updates. There is not any pushy, heavy-handed, salesy content, yet he still makes it easy to contact him. Alan does a great job at walking the fine line between never asking for business and being annoying and pushy.

I noted that there was content geared for first time homebuyers which amounts to 40% of the market, for sellers, and for buyers. There is a subtle but very real feeling that you might miss out if you don’t get in the real estate market soon, but it’s not coming from him, but rather from articles he sources.

He also includes local market statistics and links for people to register to gain access to all the local listings, where he requires them to register thereby capturing a new lead. I haven’t spoken to Alan yet about his page and just how much business he captures from it, but hope to at the next opportunity.

Anyway, I wanted to share this page with you, my readers. Alan clearly understands marketing and Real Estate Gumbo is a great Facebook page. Not being familiar with the statistical data of his company search page, I don’t know how efficient his lead capture technology is, but if it is as efficient as my LCM Gateway technology, he is probably making a killing from this page. Great job, Alan!

If you are unfamiliar with my LCM technology take a minute to check it out. It’s designed to maximize the lead capture from any website or Facebook page. In fact, it’s the original lead capture gateway and has effectively captured millions of real estate customers for our agents since 2003.
